The CPS125 is a precision pressure sensor system-in-a-package (SIP) designed to deliver high accuracy and low power consumption. It combines a resistive bridge-type pressure sensor with a 24-bit ADC, offering high-resolution pressure measurements. The CPS125 features factory calibration for pressure and temperature, ensuring straightforward integration and use without the need for additional calibration by the host microcontroller.
The CPS125 is factory programmed to operate in Sleep Mode by default. In this mode, the sensor remains inactive until it receives a Measurement Request (MR) from the master/host. Upon receiving an MR command, the CPS125 wakes up, performs a full measurement cycle, stores the measurement data in internal registers, and then returns to Sleep Mode.
The CPS125 uses a two-wire I²C interface for reading sensor measurement data. The interface mode is selectable via the digital voltage level on the SS pin:
If SS is set to 1 or not connected (internal pull-up at SS pin), the I²C mode is selected. The factory setting for the I²C slave address is 0x6C, and communication is restricted to this address only.
The GD command follows the format of the 7-bit slave address with the 8th bit set to 1 (READ). The device sends an ACK to indicate communication success. The master controls the number of data bytes returned via NACK and stop conditions.
The CPS125 system-in-a-package (SIP) solution consists of a resistive bridge-type pressure sensor and a 24-bit ADC, offering high-resolution and accurate pressure measurements. The digital output is fully calibrated for pressure and temperature, simplifying usage and integration.
